10% of the proceeds from this shirt go to support a performing arts scholarship for one of the youth in our community. The loss of Chadwick Boseman has rocked us, and to be honest, it’s been really hard to talk about. Seeing his performance of T’Challa so profoundly affected us that our second born bears his African name. Wakanda was the genesis for our Vision for what coffee could do for our peoples diaspora world wide. This black gxld we drink IS our vibranium. And if you’ve studied Chadwicks life, you know that his career in part was made possible by an investment in his gifting by an entity in the diaspora, a black man, Denzel Washington. We want to honor that legacy in our own way. We are doing our best to be a debt-free, black-owned company. We are not a mega corporation. But we are mega hustlers. And we’re determined to create financial and artistic freedom in our community. We KNOW that through the sweat of our brow and the grace of the Messiah, we can offer an opportunity to the talent in our own community. The private performing arts group@astainedvessel Stained Vessel Productions gives music and production lessons for $40/hr, so one month of lessons is 160. If we can sell 64 of these shirts each month we can cover lessons for the whole month AND provide hourly pay for some of the youth we work with to learn how to MAKE the shirts by hand. We think we can do it.
