How We Got Here
Satterfield and Jones met through an impromptu visit to the Anti Gentrification Cxffee Club while Stephen visited family in Memphis. He later joined our coffee subscription and has been a long-term supporter ever since.
Jones noted that the High on the Hog documentary was an inspiration for Cxffee Black To Africa, which won Sprudge's Best Film in Coffee in 2023.
This partnership isn't random. It's full circle. It's intentional. It's what happens when Black creatives build together.
What Makes Prototype 001 Different

This isn't ethically sourced merchandise. This is a movement.
Coffee and cotton, once tools of oppression, are now symbols of resilience, creativity, and ownership—driven by Black hands.

Because this is the first-ever street wear hoodie from an all-Black supply chain, we're still dialing in the perfect fit. Think of this as the prototype it's named after—we're learning and building in real time.
